Steps to change database path and logs

  1. (Optional) Get the ReplayLagTime and TruncationLagTime corresponding to the database copy with get-mailboxdatabase.
  2. Turn circular logging off
  3. Remove the database copies
  4. Move the database path to an alternate path
  5. Create the new directory on the copy servers (i.e., “c:\DB”)
  6. Manually move all of the previous database/log files and folders to the new location
  7. Re-add the database copies
  8. Turn circular logging back on, if it was on
  9. (Optional) Set ReplayLagTime and TruncationLagTime with set-mailboxdatabasecopy.
